permanent jewellery
what is permanent jewellery?
Permanent jewellery is a bracelet, anklet or necklace made from metal chain, usually silver/gold plated, sterling silver or gold filled.
A small ring of the same metal as the chain is used to link both ends together and then that ring is micro welded closed.
This type of micro-welding uses a pulse to fuse metal rather than a flame.
quality of our precious metal.
We use solid 925 recycled sterling silver, 9ct gold, 18ct gold and 950 platinum chain sourced from a highly reputable UK gold and silver merchant.
For those customers who like the look of gold but are looking for a more wallet friendly option we also have a range of 14ct gold filled chains to choose from.
Gold filled is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal - usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight, and is therefore a much thicker and more durable alternative to gold plating.
If you are interested in finding out about 18ct gold or platinum options then please get in touch with us for more information.
